Lee Williams transferred to Northland College from Parsons College and during his senior year played outstanding basketball and baseball. He was captain and selected as the Most Valuable basketball Player. He averaged 23 points per game and was named the Most Valuable Player of the Gateway Conference. He was named to the All Conference (Wisconsin Independent College Association) Basketball and Baseball Teams. He received the Milton Gardner Award in 1974 and was named to the Outstanding College Athletes of America.

Lee was the Assistant Basketball Coach at Northland in 1974-75 while serving as an Admissions Councilor and was named Head Basketball Coach for the 1978-79 season. He returned home to San Antonio and presently works for the Southwestern Bell. Lee is an active member of the Northland College Alumni Board of Directors.

Former Northland College President Malcolm McLean said of Lee, "He is one of the great players in Northland College history and he has outstanding leadership capabilities. He was one of our most respected people as a student, an athlete and as an official of the college."
