Northland College is proud to recognize Diana (Rybak) Robinson for her outstanding career as a member of the Northland College women’s basketball team. A four year starter (1996-2000), Diana is Northland’s all-time leader in rebounds, with 1,134 total rebounds. When she graduated in 2000, she was second in scoring (1,399), fourth in steals (205), and thirteenth in assists (177). She was a first-team National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) all-region performer in 1997-98, and after Northland joined the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference in 1998-99, she was first-team All-Conference in both her junior and senior years. Diana is one of only two Northland players (male or female) to have more than 1,000 career rebounds and 1,000 career points. During her career, the LumberJills achieved a school record of 69 wins, tied a school record for single season wins with 22, and made their first NAIA national tournament appearance in 1999.
After graduating, Diana spent nine years teaching and coaching basketball at Our Lady of the Lake school and in the Drummond (Wisconsin) School District. In 2010, she started working as the benefits counselor at the Lakes Community Health Center and since has been promoted to Patient Services Supervisor. She lives in Ashland with her husband Rob and daughters Breann and Rebeka.
