Cindy Heinz Wiebe joins Northland College's Athletic Hall of Fame for her contributions to Northland Basketball and Volleyball as a student athlete. During the 1980s, Wiebe helped each team reach the National Little College Athletic Association (NLCAA) National Championship playoffs. She was instrumental as a team player in helping Northland filed a full-fledged four year women's varsity basketball and volleyball team.

Wiebe started in every game from freshman to senior year in both basketball and volleyball. Her contributions as an athlete earned her an All-American award in both sports. As a basketball team member she was awarded the "Most Valuable Player," "Sportsmanship Award", and she was selected for the All Tourney Team in 1983. In her senior year, Wiebe and her teammates earned 2nd place in the NLCAA National Championship, and she joined Northland's 1,000 plus club for her career points in varsity basketball. Wiebe was also a member of the 1981 NLCAA championship volleyball team.

Wiebe graduated from Northland with a B.S. degree in Business

Administration and Finance. Originally from Markesan, Wisconsin, Wiebe resides in Ashland and works for Northland College in the Business Office. She is married to Michael Wiebe '85 and has three daughters Alicia, Lindsay, and Nicole. Wiebe also coaches basketball for the 5th grade at Ashland's Lake Superior Primary School.
