Northland College Athletics

Daughter of Robert and Mimi Lattanzio, Abby hails from Bloomington, Illinois.  Abby begins her third year as a LumberJill.  She decided to come to Northland College because she was “looking for a school with an environmental focus.  After visiting other schools, Northland seemed to have everything I wanted and I felt that I could fit in here.  Being able to play soccer was also a deciding factor for me in choosing a school; once again Northland was just the place for me.”  Abby majors in Writing.  She recently returned from a literature course in the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, which included spending fifteen days canoeing, journaling, and enjoying the sights.    

She has also been inducted into Alpha Chi and has been published in the school’s literary magazine, “the Quartile.”

She has been playing soccer for about six years, and received the Most Improved Player award her senior year at Bloomington High School.  She is excited to continue playing at Northland and for the new season that awaits.
