ASHLAND, Wis. – Sophomore Andrew Yocum on the Northland College Men's Hockey team was named Kwik Trip Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week after earning his first collegiate win, announced Wednesday, Jan. 22.
 
Over three games last week, Yocum made 93 saves including a career-high 51 against St. Mary's University. He ended the game with a save percentage of 98.1 percent, which helped lead the LumberJacks to an overtime win. The 2-1 victory was the sophomore's first collegiate win.
 
Yocum becomes the third WIAC goaltender this season to earn this award.
 
The LumberJacks have their next game on Friday, Jan. 24 when they host the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 7 p.m.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
