ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Hockey team will begin the postseason in the First Round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The First Round of the WIAC Tournament is a best-of-two series, and if the series is tied, a mini-game will be held to decide the winner. The LumberJacks and Blugolds will play at 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

The Jacks ended the regular season with a two-game series at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Northland scored first in both games but was unable to secure a win.
George Haigley scored his first collegiate goal in the opening game, and
Ben Stewart scored his first goal of the season in the finale.
After 25 games,
Logan Gallagher leads the Jacks with eight points, including six goals and two assists.
Joe Weber follows with seven points, consisting of three goals and four assists, while Stewart rounds out the top three with six points on one goal and five assists.
Trey Taylor ranks second in the WIAC with 50 blocked shots, and
Sam Holy ranks third with 41. In goal,
Dakota Meyer and
Andrew Yocum have made 526 and 435 saves, respectively.
The Blugolds finished third in the WIAC with an 8-7-0 record and an overall record of 10-14-1. On the final weekend of the season, UW-Eau Claire split games with the University of Wisconsin-Stout, dropping the first game 4-5 in overtime, then winning 4-2. Senior Jordan Randall leads UW-Eau Claire in points with 14, consisting of 11 goals and three assists. In goal, Max Gutjahr has started 20 games, with a record of 9-10-1 and a save percentage of .907.
This season, the Blugolds have come out on top in all three meetings with the LumberJacks. The closest game was a 2-0 victory for UWEC in Ashland, Wis., on Jan. 24. In that game, Stewart led the team in shots, and Meyer made 44 saves.
