ASHLAND, Wis. – Head Coach Kale Adams of the Northland College and Men's and Women's Cross Country Team announced his resignation on May 10.
 
Adams grew the Cross Country program from two runs when he took over to 18 in the first quarter of taking the job. One recruit, Ben Thompson, was named to the UMAC 2023 All-Conference Team in his final season.  
 
"Kale was a great part of Northland Athletic with many of his athletes having nothing but positive things to say about him," said athletic director Dan Schumacher. "I want to wish him the best in his future moving forward."
 
A search for a new cross country coach will start immediately.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
