MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Hockey team falls in the series finale 0-7 to the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday night in Menomonie, Wis.
The Jacks could not find the back of the net and suffered their fourth shutout of the season. Penalties hurt Northland with the Blue Devils scoring four goals on the power-play.
The Blue Devils outshot the LumberJacks 34-to-17. Leading Northland on the attack was
Bryson Cecconi who tallied four shots. Senior
Kenny Styles finished second on the team with three.
Brandon Holt and Styles led the team in face off wins both with six.
Viktor Wennberg made the start in net and made 27 saves. The Jacks blocked 12 shots,
Sam Holy had a team-high three.
The Jacks continue WIAC play next week when they travel to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for a two-game series starting on Friday Jan. 26.
