ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Hockey team has announced that Senior defenseman, Tristan Petrie has signed a professional contract with the Columbus River Dragons of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). 

A staple on the LumberJack blue line, the Senior Captain from Lloydminster, AB finished his career as a LumberJack appearing in 89 games, collecting 9 assists. 

Columbus currently sits in first place of the Continental Division, 4 points ahead of the Carolina Thunderbirds who are led by the FPHL leading scorer and LumberJack Hockey alum, Gus Ford.   

Petrie is set to make his professional hockey debut with the River Dragons tomorrow night against the Motor City Rockers in Fraser, MI. Game time is set for 7:30pm (est).
