Jills Drop Two in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN - The Northland College LumberJills dropped two UMAC contests on the road on Friday afternoon.  The Jills are now 3-21 on the year and 2-8 in the UMAC.   In game one the Jills faced the Crown College Storm, and the Storm were ultimately able to come away with the 10-7 win.  In game two the UM-Morris Cougars were able to earn a 17-8 win.

Kaylee Harnack, Elizabeth Peters, and Lenisa Tomasini each had three hits for the Jills agains the Storm.  Jenna Reyes doubled and drove in two runs for the Jills. 

The game was close throughout as the Jills jumped out to 2-0 lead in the top half of the second inning.  The Storm used seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 10-4 lead.  The Jills battled back and scored three in the top of the sixth, and got runners on in the seventh to give themselves a chance, but the Storm were able to escape with the 10-7 win. 

Sofia Garcia struck out four over three innings in game two against the Cougars.  Garcia also contributed at the plate as she had two RBI's on the game.  Kayla Priesler collected two hits and scored a run for the Jills as well.
