ASHLAND, Wis. – Head Coach Cora Zackrison of the Northland College Softball Team announced her resignation on August 20, after two seasons with the team.
 

In her first season with Northland Softball Zackrison led the team to a 10-20 overall record and went 8-12 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play. She coached UMAC First Team All-Conference center fielder Kaylee Harnack. In her second year, injuries plagued the team not getting the desired results.

"It is hard to see Cora leave with all she has done with the softball program," said Athletic Director Dan Schumacher. "I wish her the best in her future career."

A search for a new softball coach will start immediately.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
