Wiezorek returns to Northland as the Head Women’s Softball Coach

ASHLAND, Wis. – Dana Wiezorek returns to Northland College as the Head Women's Softball Coach announced on September 3. Wiezorek spent a year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2019 season.  

"I am beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity," said Wiezorek. "I started my coaching career 23 years ago on the Northland College Softball field as a youth softball coach, and to be here now as the head coach, is a dream of mine that has come true."

Wiezorek has spent the last 23 years coaching different levels of softball. She started out at the Little League and Senior League serving on the Little League Board as the Head of Softball Program and started U10 and U12 teams. In 2016 Wiezorek was the Head Coach for Washburn/Bayfield High Schools Co-op, then transitioned to the Assistant Coach for Ashland High School. In the fall of 2018, she became a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Northland College for a season.

"I am looking forward to being a part of the new direction and vision of Northland College, to help keep the college as an important asset in our community, rebuilding the softball program, and becoming a successful team through hard work and for the love of the game," stated Wiezorek.

Wiezorek is an Ashland native graduating from Ashland High School. She continued her education at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
