Eay Claire, WI - The Northland College Lumberjacks finished their weekend road trip with a 2-0 loss at the hands of the UW-Eau Claire Blu Golds on Saturday evening. The Jacks are now 4-16-3 on the year and 1-11-1-1 in the WIAC while the Blu Golds improved to 11-11 and 7-6 in the WIAC.
The game was close throughout as the Blu Golds held a 1-0 lead until they added a second late in the third period. The Jacks went on the power play with just under four minutes remaining and had several chances to even the game, but the Blu Golds were able to keep the Jacks at bay and hanf on for the win.
Chris Curr made 41 saves in the net for the Jacks.
The Jacks wrap up their regular season next weekend with two games against UW-Stevens Point.
