Ashland, WI - The Northland College Lumberjacks put three in the back of the net, but it wasn't enough as the UW-Stout Blue Devils used a strong third period to leave Ashland with a 6-3 win.  The Blue Devils improved to 7-11 on the year and 5-4 in the WIAC while the Jacks dropped to 3-11-3 and 0-8-1 in the WIAC.  

The first two periods featured a back and forth battle between both teams.  The Blue Devils struck first to take a 1-0 lead but Connor Evans slotted home a goal to even things out halfway through the second period.  After the Blue Devils took advantage of a powerplay, the Jacks once again tied the game on a goal from Eddie Gallagher.  Luke Hartge picked up his second assist on the evening on the play.  

The Blue Devils regained their lead quickly in the third period, but the Gallagher got his second goal of the game to even the game at 3-3.  The Blue Devils responded with three unanswered goals to blow the game open and take the 6-3 win.  

The Jacks are in action next on Monday when they travel to Saint Johns University.
