Ashland, WI - The Northland College LumberJacks battled to a tie with the Gustavus Adolphus College Gusties on Friday Evening. The Jacks are now 2-9-3 on the year.
After trailing 1-0 after two periods, the Jacks tied the game up almost immediately at the start of the third with a goal from
Ty Brown. After several chances for both teams,
Cameron Coutre gave the Jacks the lead with 1:09 left to play. The Gusties, however, responded by battling through the final seconds, and were able to score with only 5.6 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.
Both teams had several chances throughout the three-on-three overtime period, but neither were able to find the back of the net.
The Jacks are in action next on Wednesday when they host Finlandia University.
