ASHLAND, Wis. - Northland College (2-14-3, 2-9-1 NCHA) faced Marian (7-11-1, 3-8-1 NCHA) to end the weekend series. These teams played well and ended the game in a tie.

Northland came out with intensity this Saturday afternoon as Petter Bulling (assisted by Timothy Perks and Tanner Vinson) got the ball rolling halfway through the first period. Marian answered back later in the first tying the game as they went into the locker room. As we head into the second period we have a couple quick penalties giving us a four on four matchup. Neither team was able to convert during this time, however, the Sabres were able to squeeze one by and take the lead for the first time this game; due to the Jacks having too many men on the ice. The intensity was cranked up a couple notches as a LumberJack and Sabre were charged with hitting after the whistle.

As we head into the third period Northland was down 2-1. It wasn't looking good for the Jacks as we went into the last minute of the game and again pulled our goalie in hopes of scoring with an extra man. With forty-three seconds left Petter Bulling (assisted by Darius Cole) would tie the game up. This also takes us into overtime. There many spectacular plays in these five minutes as there were numerous times where either team could have scored. Both teams held strong the whole five minutes ending the game in a tie.

Bulling scored both goals for the Jacks and he was assisted by Perks and Vinson on one goal and Cole on another. Jesse DiLillo had an amazing 38 saves today. The LumberJacks will be back in action on the 30th taking on Saint Scholastica.
