MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Northland College (1-9-1, 1-6 NCHA) headed down south for tonights matchup against the Raiders of MSOE (5-4, 3-4 NCHA). The Jacks had a tough third and were unable to bounce back.
Northland came out strong against MSOE in this weekend series. The Jacks defense was on point in the first period not allowing a Raider goal, however, the Raiders defense was tough to get around. A few penalties put MSOE down two men and
Karson Kuntz (assisted by
Darius Cole and
Matt Valley) was able to take advantage of this opportunity. Northland was aggressive in their attempts for another goal, but it was MSOE who found a way by the Northland defense. At the end of the second period the score was 3-1 with MSOE in the lead. The Jacks went into the third period a man down from a continuance of a penalty in the second. The Northland defense seemed to collapse this period as MSOE was able to score five more goals, but
Darius Cole scored one last goal for the LumberJacks.
