ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Hockey team starts the postseason at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for the First Round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

The First Round of the WIAC Tournament is one game where the winner will advance to the Semifinals where they will play the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for a two-game series starting on Feb. 28.
Kyleigh Moffatt led the LumberJills during the regular season with seven points coming from a team-high six goals and one assist. Moffatt ranks fifth all-time at Northland in career points with 27 points. Sophomore
Kennedy Gruhlke is second on the team with five points on two goals and a team-high three assists.
Julia Fussy,
Karsyn McQuaker,
Tate Hutchinson, and
Nevaeh Trihey all have totaled three points this season. Defensively,
Hannah Chady had 67 blocked shots to lead the WIAC.
Yvonne Durfee and Trihey have 44 and 40 blocked shots ranking, third and fourth respectively. In the goal,
Maddy Bliss had 446 saves, leading NC with
Zoe Laming and
Zoey Soosts following with 351 and 172.
The Yellowjackets ended the regular season with an 11-12-2 record and were 3-9 in the WIAC. Last week UWS played a two-game series with Northland where they took all six points. Senior Jenna Hoops leads the team with 20 points on 10 goals and 10 assists. Cora Coz follows her with 19 points from five goals and a team-leading 14 assists. Molly Black and Anna Maulson have split time in the net. Black has saved 354 shots with a .903 save percentage and Maulson had 296 saves and a save percentage of .886.
