Women’s Hockey returns to the ice with a two-game series with Lake Forest

Northland is at home for the first games of 2025

ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Hockey team returns from break by hosting Lake Forest College at the Bay Area Civic Center for a two-game series starting on Friday at 2 p.m.

After the first eight games, Kyleigh Moffatt leads the team with two points from a goal and an assist. Kennedy Gruhlke, Kylie Schryer, Julia Fussy, and Nevaeh Trihey all have a point on the season. In net, Zoe Laming and Maddy Bliss have split time in goal. Bliss has started in four games and played in six, making 191 saves. Laming has made 170 saves in five games.
 
The Foresters come out of the break with a 3-8-2 record. The last time they were out on the ice they defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering 3-1 at the University of Dubuque Mississippi Match-Up. Sophomore Ella Maher paces LFC with seven points on six goals and one assist. Donna Fowler and Chelsea Denniss lead the team in saves at 100 and 119 respectively.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
