SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Golf Team finished in eighth at the Twins Port Collegiate in Superior, Wis., the event had two rounds spanning Saturday and Sunday. Sophomore Andrew Yocum led the LumberJacks shooting a 171 (+27).
The hosts University of Wisconsin Superior won the tournament with a team score of five over par. Individually, Andrew Rude and Conner Willard of UW-Superior tied for first at four under par. Northland placed eighth in its first event of the season at +160.
In round one, Yocum shot an 84 (+12) with one birdie and parred seven. Mac Reed had three birdies over the two days with two in the opening round. Reed shot a 173 (+29) to finish in 40th. Ethan Rubin only competed on the second day but carded an 89 (+17) one of the best rounds for the LumberJacks.
