ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Men's and Women's Golf Teams wrapped up their two-tournament weekend at the Bethany Lutheran Invite and Martin Luther College Classic on Saturday.
 
On Friday the golf teams were in Hutchinson, Minn., at the Bethany Lutheran Invite. The University of Northwestern won the team titles for the men and the women, with the men carding a 308 (+24) and the women finishing with a 344 (+60).  Aaron Nack from the University of Minnesota Morris ended the course one under par to win for the men and Morgan Eckman from UNW shot a 75 (+4) to win for the women.
 
The LumberJacks finished in seventh at the BLC Invite with a score of 375 (+91). The LumberJills had two individuals compete so they did not receive a team score. Isaiah Gueths shot an 88 (+17) to finish tied for 29^th to lead the Jacks. Andrew Yocum was three strokes behind to finish tied for 36^th and in his first collegiate tournament Luke VanBaalen carded a 94 (+23) to round out the top three. Maddi Bliss had her best round of the season with a 104 (+33) to finish in 24^th and Saleen Thepmontry continues to make huge improvements this time carding at 109 (+38) to end in 28^th.

At the Martin Luther College Classic Northwestern remained on top for the second day in a row for the men and women. The Eagles also had both individual winners in Carson Mersberger and Eckman won her second tournament in as many days.
 
The Jacks finished in seventh, only three strokes behind Crown College in sixth. Yocum shot an 83 (+11) to lead the LumberJacks and finished tied for 21^st. Gueths was six strokes behind and tied for 31^st. Bliss and Thepmontry continued to represent Northland with Bliss carding a 106 (+34) ending in 26^th and Thepmontry ending the day in 32^nd with a 125 (+53).

The golf teams concluded their fall season next week at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Champion in Becker, Minn., with a three-day tournament starting on Thursday.
