BECKER, Minn. – The Northland College Men's Golf Team finished eighth at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Preview in Becker, Minn., on Thursday. Sophomore
Andrew Yocum led the Jacks shooting an 86 (+14) in the one-round tournament.
The University of Wisconsin Superior took first at the UMAC Preview at 304 (+16), two strokes better than North Central University in second. There was a three-way tie for first individually with Andrew Rude and Nate Burke from UWS and Gordon Skaar from the University of Northwestern. Northland finished in eighth carding a 374 (+86).
Yocum led the Jacks with an 86 (+14) and recorded a par on nine holes.
Isaiah Gueths finished second on the team after carding a 95 (+23). Gueths shot a 43 on the back nine.
Mitch Taylor had the sole birdie for the Jacks coming on the third hole.
