ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Volleyball team continues its string of early season tournaments, this time traveling to De Pere, Wis., for the St. Norbert College Chick-fil-A Invitational.

Northland starts the invitational with two games on Friday, Carroll University at 3 p.m., followed by Macalester College at 5:30 p.m. The following day NCVB sees Central College at 10 a.m., to round out their weekend.

Last week the LumberJills competed at the Earlham Tournament. Junior transfer student
Leah Allan led the attack with 24 kills over the three matches. Sophomore
Britta Josephson was right behind her with 20. Senior
Kodie Rempp set up the offense with 32 assists and added three kills.

Defensively, Allan and Josephson led Northland in digs with 29 and 27 respectively.
Hannah Peel and Rempp also surpassed 20 digs in the first three matches. Josephson was a part of both blocks on the weekend with a solo and assisted block with
Ellison DeZwarte.

Carroll has started the season 4-2 and played a pair of matches on Wednesday defeating Knox College 3-0 then following to Loras College 1-3. The Pioneers' attack is led by Bronwyn Rowse, Rebekah Andreae, and Grace Perret all with over 40 kills in their first six matches. Sophomore Kylie Wittnebel has tallied 17 blocks on the season from 12 solo and five assisted.

Macalester split its first two matches to open the season falling to Carthage College 1-3 and then defeating Augustana College 3-1. Ella Cohen-Richie leads the Scots with 22 kills in eight sets. Nicole Norton sets up the offense with 41 assists.

Central is 3-2 on the season winning their most recent game 3-1 against Graceland College. Earlier in the season the Dutch played the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference team Bethany Lutheran College and fell 3-0. Landry Pacha and Gracie Pierson have totaled 36 and 32 kills respectively to pace Central. On the defensive end, Colleen Kenney has a team-high 66 digs.
