Northland wraps up its second meet at St. Olaf Invitational

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Northland College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in their second meet of the season at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minn., Saturday morning. Junior Brandon Faber and Sophomore Lillian Beske led Northland in their respective races.
 
On the women's side No. 15 Charleton College won the meet with 35 points with No. 12 St. Olaf College who had 54 points. Hannah Preisser took the individual title with a time of 21.57.8 in the 6k race. The host No. 15 St. Olaf placed first in the meet for the men with 38 points with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire right behind them with 52. Mohammed Bati of Augsburg University won on the men's side with a time of 24:42.3 for the 8k.
 
Five runners represented Northland at the meet. Beske led Northland women at 35:35.9 placing 270th and Faber led the men at 35:56.1 landing him in 281st.

The next meet for Northland is The Running of the Cows on Oct. 5 in Northfield, Minn.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
