ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Volleyball team enters its final tournament before conference play this weekend at the Luther College Tournament in Decorah, Iowa.

Northland will start the tournament with a pair of matches on Friday against Bethel University and Augsburg University before wrapping up the weekend with the hosts Luther College. Games are slated for 5 p.m., and 7 p.m., on Friday and 2 p.m., on Saturday.

Last week, Northland competed at the St. Norbert College Chick-fil-A Invitational in De Pere, Wis. The Jills were unable to take a match falling in all three. Junior
Leah Allan paced Northland with 19 kills, 21 digs, and a block. Senior
Kodie Rempp assisted on 23 points.

This season Allan and
Britta Josephson have led the Northland attack with 43 and 37 kills respectively. Rempp has set up 55 points this season with
Anna Campbell behind her with 23. Campbell set a new career-high with seven assists last week against Macalester College. The pair of Allan and Josephson are putting in work on the defensive side as well with 50 and 40 digs respectively.

To start the season Bethel is 2-3 overall. Last weekend the Royals competed at the Falcon Invite in River Falls, Wis., where they went 1-2. All three matches were four sets with Bethel winning over Simpson College and getting bested by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the University of Minnesota Morris. The offense is led by sophomore Peyton Howie with 50 kills, and senior Brenna Stark has assisted on a team-high 94 points.

The Auggies come in with a 3-4 overall record. Last week Augsburg competed at the Augsburg University Invitational where went 1-2 picking up a five-set win over George Fox University, later falling to Wartburg College and Nebraska Wesleyan University. Bri Van Well is one kill away from surpassing 100 on the season to pace the Auggies. Defensively, Torri Rehder has a team-high 131 digs.

Luther is 3-6 in the early stage of the season. Earlier in the week the Norse dropped two matches in four sets to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Saint Mary's University. Sarina Stortz leads Luther with 147 kills and a hitting percentage of .387. Stortz also leads the team with 13 service aces. Kyah Olson-Sola has a team-leading 135 digs across 38 sets.
