ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams announce their 2024 Fall schedule. Ashland native Nick Nemec enters his first season as the Head Coach.

The 2024 season consists of six meets, starting at the River Town Twilight in Prescott, Wis., hosted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Sept. 7. This is the first time Northland will be competing at this meet.

Two weeks later Northland travels to Northfield, Minn., for the St. Olaf Invitational. The Jacks and Jills return to this meet after not running in it last season but did in 2022 and 2021.

The Cross Country Team returns to Northfield for the Running of the Cows on Oct. 5, Â hosted by Carleton College. Last season Northland finished in 14
th on the Men's side and had four runners compete as individuals on the Women's side.

After not running in the Wisconsin Private School Championships in the previous years, Northland makes its return. The last time they ran there was in 2019 where the Men finished in sixth and the Women finished in fifth. Concordia University, Wisconsin is hosting the meet in Mequon, Wis., on Oct. 19.

On Nov. 2, Northland will compete at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in Winthrop, Minn. Last season 13 runners set personal records on the course including returners
Teddy Uehling and
Lillian Beske.

Northland will end the season at the NCAA Regional Championships in Northfield, Minn., on Nov. 16.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Â
