ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – The Northland College Men's Golf team finished its first invite in the spring season in fifth at the Alexandria Spring Invite in Alexandria, Minn. The two-day event was cut to one day after some bad weather.
 
The hosts Alexandria Technical and Community College won the tournament with a team score of eight over par. They also had the winner Hank Sogge who led the field at three under par. The LumberJacks finished fifth in the outing with a team score of +113.
 
Freshman Andrew Yocum led the Jacks at the invite with a score of +21. Yocum finished in 17^th in the field of 25. Behind him was senior Kenny Styles who was four strokes behind at 25 over and ended the day in 19^th. Connor Taylor and Isaiah Gueths rounded out the team at 32 and 35 over par respectively.
 
The Men's Golf team will be back in action on April 25 at the Martin Luther College Invitation in New Ulm, Minn.
