DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Northland College Lacrosse team fell 7-6 to Clarke University Thursday night in Dubuque, Iowa in a nonconference matchup.

The Pride went up 2-0 to start the scoring.
Anden Stroik scored his first goal of the season to end the quarter 2-1.
Matt Maudsley assisted on the goal.

The LumberJacks tied the game in the second with a goal from
Brodie Trollop but two goals in a row put Clarke back on top.
Â
The Pride continued their scoring run in the third to go up 5-2. Trollop and Stroik got Northland back within one goal before the fine 15 minutes.

Maudskey scored his first of the game to level the Jacks in the first minute of the final quarter. The Pride responded with a goal from Doug Powless.
Avery Roerick got on the scoresheet to tie the game at six all. In the final three CU scored the winning goal with the extra man.

Stroik and Trollop led the team in scoring with two. Maudsley and Roerick also chipped in a goal and an assist. Also picking up points in the contest were
Jackson Breton and
Logan Gallagher from an assist.

Rudy Ruegemer was in net for Northland and made 12 saves.
Andrew Study,
Luke Ballard, and
Bryson Cecconi led the defense with two caused turnovers.

The Jacks return home for a 2 p.m., game against Earlham College on Saturday.
