SHREVEPORT, La. – The Northland College Lacrosse team fell to Centenary College 9-27 Saturday afternoon in Shreveport, La.

Centenary took control in the first quarter. The Gents scored three goals in the first five minutes of action.
Brodie Trollop broke up the rally for Northland's first goal.
Logan Gallagher would follow soon after to answer back from a CC goal.
Avrey Roerick would also net a goal in the opening quarter, but Centenary would be up 11-3 after the first 15 minutes.

The second quarter would be evenly matched with goals traded for the second frame. Gallagher would net two goals, and Trollop would have one. Entering halftime, Northland still trailed by eight.

Gallagher would net an early goal in the third quarter, but the Gents would respond with eight unanswered goals to finish the quarter.

A few more goals were scored in the fourth, but not enough for the Jacks to make the comeback as they drop the contest 27-9.

Gallagher led the scoring for Northland with six goals, Trollop followed with two, and Roerick added one.
Sam Lewis had the only assist for the Jacks.
Christian Shields had a team-high three ground balls, with
PJ Northrop,
Andrew Study Lewis, and Roerick following with two, and Trollop,
Rodrigo Chavez, and
Keenan Bayer each recorded one ground ball. In goal,
Elijah Clark made 13 saves.

The LumberJacks continue their road trip as they play Spalding University at 5 p.m. on Monday in Louisville, Ky.
