Northland had a busy Thanksgiving week, playing four games in five days.
Kennedy Gruhlke scored her first collegiate goal and the team's first against Lawrence University. In the following period,
Kyleigh Moffatt netted her first of the year. In the series finale against LU
Kylie Schryer scored her first collegiate goal on the power play. Over the four games
Zoe Laming and
Maddy Bliss made 96 and 77 respectively.
Moffatt leads Northland in points with two, scoring and assisting on both goals against Lawrence. Gruhlke and Schryer have recorded a point from a goal and
Nevaeh Trihey and
Julia Fussy have a point off an assist. The duo of Laming and Bliss have saved 170 and 147 shots respectively.
The Pointers are 4-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play. Last week UWSP won 2-1 over the University of Wisconsin-Superior and in its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game the Pointers took No. 1 University of Wisconsin-River Falls to overtime but fell in the shootout. Courtney Leising paces the team in goals (4) and points (5). Emily Griege and Anne Beck have split time in the goal and have a 95 and 92 percent save rate respectively.
