Blanchard named Head Coach for Superior City FC

SUPERIOR, Wis. – Northland College Women's Soccer Head Coach Aaron Blanchard was named head coach for Superior City Football Club, announced Jan. 17th in Superior, Wis.
 
After his first season as the head coach for the LumberJills Blanchard will now be taking the reins of Superior City FC as well.
 
"It's a great feeling to be back in Superior where I made so many memories playing soccer and coaching," said Blanchard. I'm very excited for the opportunity to coach these high-level athletes in the area. This is a great opportunity for my own personal development as a soccer coach. While competing at a high level this summer! I'm very grateful that SCFC has given me this opportunity!"
 
Superior City FC competes in the United Premier Soccer League Premier Midwest-West Division with clubs around Minnesota. The UPSL is one of the biggest development leagues in North America with nearly 400 clubs.
 
The league is in the fourth tier of the United States Soccer pyramid under the three professional tiers. The goal of the league is the fill in the game between the youth game and the professional level with the average age of the UPSL being 22.5 years old.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
