Lough and Vensland earn regular season awards

Lough makes Second Team All-Conference for the second year running

ST. PAUL, Minn. – For the third year in a row, Junior Elysabeth Lough and Senior Kristen Vensland of the Northland College Women's Soccer Team earned Upper Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference Honors announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Elysabeth Lough was named to the UMAC All-Conference Second team for her second season in a row. In goal this season Lough recorded 168 saves with a save percentage of .781. Of the 17 games this season, she made double-digit saves in 10 and had her season-best against the University of Northwestern with 18. The junior from Las Vegas also had two shutouts in the season, coming against Maranatha Baptist in the first home game of the season and on the road at Martin Luther College. 
 
Kristen Vensland was named UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention for the third year in a row. Just like in every season before Vensland played every minute of the 2023 season and ended her career with 4203 minutes played. The senior recorded her first collegiate point this season assisting on a goal against Crown College. Vensland also earned the sportsmanship award for the second time.
 
Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
