EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Soccer team played its last game before starting Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Monday night in Eau Claire, Wis. The Jacks fell to the Blugolds 7-0 after a five-goal second half.

UW-Eau Claire most control for most of the game from the whistle. In the first six minutes, the Blugolds jumped ahead with their first shot on goal. UW-Eau Claire continued to test Tjaden Whisehunt, making his first start in the goal this season. Within the next 10 minutes, the Bluegold scored their second. In the 42
nd minute, the Jacks had their first crack at goal, with
Kellen Richardson's shot getting saved. The second half got away from Northland, with UW-Eau Claire continuing to score.

The Jacks had two shots on goal in the loss, coming from Richardson in the first half and
Anthony Morales in the second half. Whisehunt was able to stop some of the damage with six saves.

Northland will start conference play in the UMAC on Wednesday as they travel to St. Bonifacius, Minn., to take on Crown College at 4:30 p.m.
