SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Northland College Men's Golf team finishes in sixth in its first outing of the 2023 season at the Twin Port Collegiate in Superior, Wis. Junior
Connor Taylor led the LumberJacks shooting 156 (+14) in the two-day, two-round tournament.
The University of Wisconsin, Superior took first at the Twin Port Collegiate with a 29-stroke lead. UW Superior had half of the top 10 finishers including the winner, Willard Conner who shot 144 (+2). Northland claimed sixth out of seven teams finishing with 678 (+110) strokes.
In the first meet of the 2023 golf season, Taylor came in as the leading man for the Jacks. His first round was his best of the tournament carding a 76 and following that up with an 80 to end the Twin Port Classic at 156 (+14) to finish in 14
th. Behind him was senior
Kenny Styles ending day two at 167 (+25). Rounding out the top three was junior
Peyton Solberg three strokes behind Styles.
