Box Score

After picking up a 2-1 win over North Central yesterday, the Jacks looked to continue their strong play vs. Northwestern MN. The Jacks would waste little time as Izaak Clarke netted his 6th goal of the season to give the Jacks the early 1-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game. He was assisted by Marcos Gadea. The Jacks out-shot the Eagles 5-3 in the first half and would take the 1-0 lead into the half. With time winding down in the game, UNW was able to tie the game with a goal of their own with just under ten minutes to pay to force overtime.

Both teams had chances in overtime.  With around a minute left in the first extra frame, Carlos Ponce lofted a ball into the path of Diego Castaneda, who volleyed a shot off the post and into the net to secure the win for his team.

Jamie Colvill made 4 saves in net today for the Jacks.

The Jacks currently sit in third place in the UMAC standings.

The Jacks are back in action next Friday as they travel to Mankato, MN to face Bethany Lutheran. Game time is set to start at 3:30pm.
