Ashland, WI – The Northland College Lumberjills put in a valiant effort against the UM-Morris Cougars, but ultimately fell to the Cougars by a score of 3-1.
 
Elysabeth Lough was outstanding in net for the Lumberjills as she notched 11 saves on the evening.
 
After trailing 1-0, the Lumberjills waisted no time in the second half as Coriander Dehlin took the kickoff the length of the field to tie the game at 1-1 after she entered the box and slotted a shot into the corner of the net.
 
The Cougars responded with two goals late in the second half to take a 3-1 lead.  From there, the Jills put forth several attacks but ultimately they were unable to find the back of the net. 
 
The Jills are now 1-3 in UMAC play.  They return to action tomorrow when they host the Crown College Storm at 4:30pm.
