Jacks Announce Three to 2020 Recruiting Class
Â
Ashland, WI – The Northland College Lumberjacks announced three additions to their 2020 recruiting class on Friday afternoon. "I'm excited to formally welcome Cody, Anden, and Matthew to the program," commented first year head coach
James Stumpo. "All three of these guys will impact the program in different ways. This is an exciting step forward for us as a program and we're looking forward to the future we are building here in Ashland."
Â
The Jacks will play in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) this upcoming season. This will be the programs first opportunity to compete in a league play, as the Jacks will join five other programs competing for the MLC Championship.

Cody Pfaller,
Hometown, KY

Pfaller joins Northland after a stellar high school career at Dixie Heights in Kentucky. A four year varsity starter, Pfaller was a key part of his program offensively and looks to have an immediate impact with the Northland program. "We are extremely excited to add Cody to the Men's Lacrosse family here at Northland," commented Stumpo. "He had a big impact with his high school program and we're excited to see him get to work here with the Jacks. I think it's always a big positive when you get to add someone with the kind of experience he's had, and we're looking forward to seeing him in action this spring."
Â
Anden Stroik, Duluth, MN
Â

Stroik joins the Jacks after finishing up his high school career at Hermantown High School. The Jacks graduated three seniors and Stroik will look to play a big role in that area for the next four years. "We're excited to be adding some local talent," commented Stumpo. "Geographically it's important that we start laying a footprint in the greater Duluth area, and we're excited that Anden is joining us."
Â
Matthew Maudsley, Dixie Heights, KY
Â
Maudsley joins the Jacks from Dixie Heights in Kentucky. Maudsley was teammates with fellow future Jack Cody Pfaller. The midfielder is expected to play a large role during his freshman year and will look to have a big impact offensively. "We expect him to be a crucial piece for us at the midfield and help us stretch our opponent's defense with his cannon of a shot," commented Stumpo. "It's a nice added bonus that Matt and Cody have experience together. We're looking forward to getting them back together on the field this upcoming season."Â
