River Falls, WI-
The Northland College Volleyball team traveled to River Falls, WI this weekend, competing in the UW-River Falls Invite. The Jills would play a total of 4 games over the weekend vs. St. Catherines University, UW-River Falls, Hamline University and the College of St. Benedictine.Â
Game 1
The Jills would face St. Catherines University in game one, loosing in three sets (25-16, 25-12, 25-23).
Justine Litherland would lead the way for the Jills with 5 kills.
Emma Rusch would add ten assists while
Kennedi Bernia would add 12 digs for the Jills.Â
Game 2
In game two the Jills would fall in three sets to UW-River Falls (25-16, 25-10, 25-13). As a team the LumberJills would hit .113.
Bailey Wynn would hammer 4 kills and
Kennedi Bernia added 10 digs.Â
Game 3Â
In game three, the Jills would match-up vs. the Pipers from Hamline University. The Jills would fall in three sets (25-14, 25-9, 25-19).
Bailey Wynn would lead the Jills with ten kills while
Vivienne Kallio would add 8. Bernia would add 14 digs in the game.Â
Game 4
The Jills would fall in three sets to St. Bens in game 4 (25-19, 25-9, 25-12).
Justine Litherland would lead the Jills with 9 kills in game four.
Emma Rusch added 23 kills, while Bernia would once again lead the Jills in digs with 10.Â
The Jills will look to rebound next Wednesday at home (September 18th) in a triangular vs. North Central University and Finlandia University. Game one vs. North Central is set to start at 3:30 pm.Â
