The Jills traveled to the University of Northwestern today for a contest against the University of Northwestern Eagles and a chance to advance to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championship game.
The Eagles scored right away in the match off of a corner kick to take the 1-0 lead. They would be able to score four more goals before the end of the half. The Jills started out slow and struggled to get their offense going throughout the first half. They would go into halftime down 5-0.
The Eagles would score again early in the second half to take a 6-0 lead. They would add two more goals before the end of the match. The Jills' offense would continue to struggle in the second half. They would create opportunities, but weren't able to find the back of the net. They fell by a final score of 8-0.
