The LumberJills faced off against the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars today on the road.

In set 1 the Jills would find it difficult to get through the Cougars' defense. A 4 point rally late in the set would get the Jills back into it by cutting down the Cougars' lead to 4 at 19-15. However, the Cougars would be able to pull away and take the set 25-16.

The Jills would lead early in set 2, but the Cougars would battle and eventually take the lead. An 8 point rally by the Cougars midway through the set would give them the 20-6 lead. The Cougars would go on to win 25-7.

In what would be the final set of the match the LumberJills fell behind early, but would battle throughout the match. However, the Cougars would take the set 25-10 and win the match 3-0.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
