Biography

Yabkal “Yaya” Demelash is entering his second season as a part of the Lumberjack Soccer Program.  Before coming to Northland, Demelash was recognized as an All-District 1st Team player while he played for North Forney High School.

During his freshman year at Northland, Demelash started fifteen games and scored a goal against UW-Superior.  

Favorite Athlete: Lionel Messi      

Favorite Quote: The only person you should strive to be better than is the person you were yesterday!      

Why Northland? I chose Northland because I wanted to be apart of a team that’s going to make history day in day out.
