ST. PAUL, Minn. – Seniors
Ridge Guyette and
Caden Willis on the Northland College Baseball team were named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention, announced on May 14, in St. Paul, Minn.
Guyette led Northland in slugging percentage at .541 and was third on the team batting .319. He paced the Jacks with eight doubles, five triples, four home runs, 17 walks, and 29 RBIs. Guyette also reached 100 career hits this season at St. Norbert College on April 21. The Hilbert, Wis., native ranks second all-time at Northland in home runs after hitting a grand slam in the final series at Martin Luther College.
Willis had his best season with the LumberJacks this year. The senior finished second on the team batting .322 with 39 hits, six doubles, two triples, and four home runs. To end the season, the Kalispell, Mont., native totaled 23 runs, 27 RBIs, and drew 15 walks. On the base path, Willis was second on the team with seven stolen bases. The center fielder ended with a .982 fielding percentage.
Nolan Hemmesch was named to the UMAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
