ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Baseball team starts the week with a 10:30 a.m. game against Hamline University on Wednesday. On Friday, the LumberJacks return to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play with a three-game series at Bethany Lutheran College.
 
The Jacks and Vikings will play three games over two days in Mankato, Minn. The games were originally planned to be played in Ashland, Wis., but the forecast calling for snow moved the series. On Friday, NC and BLC will have a doubleheader starting with a 1 p.m. first pitch, and the series concludes on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The LumberJacks started UMAC play last week against the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Northland was unable to take a game in the series. Dezmon LeTexier played in two of the three games and led the team with three hits. Tyler Murphy had the team's sole extra base hit with a double. On the mound, Ethan Boyce led the team with six strikeouts, and Andrew Birko went six innings and only gave up two earned runs.
 
Nathan Davison has a team-high batting average of .325, with Peyton Solberg following him at .276. Ridge Guyette leads the team in extra base hits with two triples and two home runs. Davison, Guyette, and Jonjay Arreazzola pace the Jacks with six RBIs. Boyce has a 3.80 ERA to lead Northland and has a team-high 21 strikeouts.
 
The Pipers are 5-12 so far this season. Three of their wins have come against UMAC teams. Last week, Hamline fell 2-8 to the University of Texas-Dallas to conclude the team's trip in Tucson, Ariz. Two Pipers have a batting average north of .300, with Tyler Johnson leading the way at .353. Dalton Maxwell is the team's leading pitcher with a 5.40 ERA and 19 strikeouts.
 
The Vikings are 9-9 overall, 3-0 in UMAC play, and are currently on a four-game win streak. Last week, to start conference play, BLC hosted Martin Luther College and took the series, winning 22-5, 7-1, and 12-2. Senior Aidan Russell leads Bethany Lutheran, batting .460 and has an OPS of 1.192. Russell leads the UMAC with 25 RBIs. On the mound, Adryen Tietz has an ERA of 2.42 with 36 strikeouts.
