ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Baseball team continues its road games as they travel to Rockford, Ill., for a three-game series with Rockford University starting on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the series final at 11 a.m., on Sunday.

The LumberJacks return to the Midwest after playing four games in Florida over spring break. Northland came close in a few games but could not get the result. Against Dominican University, the Jacks scored six runs in the second inning but dropped the contest 6-7 in the 10
th inning. In their final game against Berea College, the lead traded hands a few times, but a four-run eighth inning by BC had them walk away with a 7-9 victory.
Nathan Davison has led the LumberJacks at the plate, batting .385 over the first eight games. The junior has totaled a team-high 10 hits, two doubles, five RBIs, and three runs. Freshman
Jonjay Arreazola leads the team with six RBIs and his batting .320.
Bradley Stoner has the team's sole home run, and
Ridge Guyette has both of the team's triples.
Ethan Boyce is leading the pitching with a team-low 3.12 ERA and has struck out eight batters.

Rockford has a 6-3 record to kick off the 2025 season and is currently on a four-game winning streak. The winning streak started when they beat Division II Southwest Minnesota State University 10-8. Most recently, they bested Crown College 13-11 on Thursday. Senior Cobi Cooper is batting .500 in his 18 plate appearances with nine hits and one double, resulting in seven RBIs. On the mound, junior Alex Easton leads the team with a 2.19 ERA and 10 strikeouts over 12.1 innings pitched.
