LumberJills travel to Northwestern then host Martin Luther to end the 2024-25 season

ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team will play its final games of the 2024-25 season this week. They will travel to the University of Northwestern on Wednesday for a 7:15 p.m. tip-off, followed by a home game against Martin Luther College on Saturday at 4:45 p.m.

Sophomore Britta Josephson led the scoring for Northland last week, averaging 14.5 points per game. Against the University of Wisconsin-Superior, she fell just one rebound shy of a double-double, recording 10 points and nine rebounds. Against Crown College, Josephson scored a career-high 19 points to lead the team. Leah Allan also scored a career-high 13 points in both games last week.
 
Josephson surpassed 200 points last week to lead the team in scoring and now ranks 10th in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Hannah Peel follows her with 163 points on the season, with Hanna Hoskin and Kodie Rempp also reaching triple digits at 116 and 110, respectively. Defensively, Rempp and Josephson rank fourth and seventh in the UMAC, with 6.9 and 6.3 rebounds per game, respectively.
 
The Eagles enter the final week of the regular season with a 15-8 record and are 9-3 in conference play. Last week, UNW split its games, falling to Bethany Lutheran College 74-79, before defeating North Central University 67-53. The Eagles are averaging 69.3 points per game, with leading scorer Lexi Hagen contributing 13.5 points per game. Jasmine Sondrol and Ella Falk also average double figures, with 12.0 and 11.5 points per game, respectively.
 
Martin Luther has a record of 14-9 and is 7-5 in the UMAC. Last week, the Knights defeated Crown 72-56 but then fell to the University of Minnesota Morris 60-69. This season, MLC is averaging 65.4 points per game while holding opponents to 56.7. Sophomore Mya Morris leads the scoring for Martin Luther with 13.9 points per game, followed by Emma Dorn with 10.6 points per game. Dorn ranks second in the UMAC in rebounds, with 7.0 per game.
