Josephson scored a season-high 19 points at Crown

St. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team was defeated 82-56 by Crown College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday evening in St. Bonifacius, Minn. Sophomore Britta Josephson led the LumberJills with a career-high 19 points.
 
After the Polars made their first three-pointer, Kodie Rempp responded with a deep shot on the following trip. The Jills went without a basket for a while until Leah Allan made a free throw. Josephson finished the quarter's scoring for NC with a pair of free throws.
 
The LumberJills had a better second quarter, with Hanna Hoskin starting it off with a layup. Allan scored the next three points for NC, and Rempp followed with her second three-pointer. On the next possession, Rempp grabbed an offensive rebound and passed it to Hannah Peel for two. In the final two minutes, Northland scored on three consecutive shots: a layup and triple from Josephson and a layup from Allan.
 
Rempp continued her hot streak from behind the arc, hitting her third three-pointer to start the second half for the Jills. With under five minutes to play, Allan scored on back-to-back fast breaks. Hoskin got back on the scoreboard with a two-point jumper and a free throw. After a Madie Linka rebound, Josephson got the ball, did some work in the paint, and converted again.
 
Josephson opened the fourth quarter with six straight points, starting with a three-pointer. Hoskin hit from behind the arc, with Josephson scoring again in the paint. The LumberJills started the quarter shooting 4-of-5 from the floor. Allan recorded her fourth steal of the game, leading to a fast-break basket. On the following possession, Allan scored her 13th point of the game. Rempp capped the scoring for NC with another triple, making a three-pointer in all four quarters.
 
Josephson led Northland with a career-high 19 points. Allan and Rempp also reached double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Jills matched their season-high with seven three-pointers. Defensively, Rempp had a team-high eight rebounds, with Allan and Josephson following with seven and six, respectively. Allan also recorded game-highs in steals (4) and blocks (2).
 
The Jills play next on Wednesday with a road game at the University of Northwestern at 7:15 p.m.
