ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team kicks off Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play by hosting Crown College on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., followed by a home game against the University of Minnesota Morris on Saturday at 2:45 p.m.

Northland started 2025 by hosting Mount Mary University. The Jills got off to a cold start from the field and thus fell in the contest.
Britta Josephson led the team in scoring with 14 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double.
Kodie Rempp paced NC with 13 rebounds and also scored seven points in the loss.

Before the start of conference play, four Northland players ranked in the top 23 for scoring in the UMAC.
Hannah Peel leads the team, averaging 9.3 points per game with Josephson close behind at 8.9 ppg. In rebounds, Rempp and Josephson rank third and fourth in the conference averaging 7.1 and 6.6 rebounds per game, respectively. Â

Crown College, halfway through the season holds a 1-10 with its lone win coming against Maranatha Baptist University 101-26. After the winter break, the Polars played in two games, falling 35-48 to Augsburg University and 52-83 to Nebraska Wesleyan University. Sophomore Brayli Reimer leads Crown in scoring with 146 points, nearly three times the amount of their second-highest scorer. Defensively, Reimer also paces the team with 60 rebounds and 23 steals.

The University of Minnesota Morris is 1-9 after non-conference play. The Cougars' only win came against Trinity Bible College, 88-39, on Nov. 25. In their most recent game, UMM traveled to St. Catherine University and fell 41-76. UMM is fifth in the UMAC for team scoring, averaging 58.0 points per game with sophomore Maddy Grove leading the way with 13.8 ppg. Junior Shelby Mortenson leads on the glass with 60 rebounds.
