ASHLAND, Wis. – The Northland College Women's Basketball team continues its Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play as they host the University of Northwestern on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., followed by a road game against the University of Minnesota Morris on Saturday at 2:45 p.m.

Last week Northland hosted North Central University.
Britta Josephson set a career-high with 15 points, while
Hannah Peel followed with 13. Later in the week, Josephson recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds against Martin Luther College. Peel also reached double figures, scoring 14 points.
Josephson and Peel lead the LumberJills in scoring with 126 and 121 points, respectively.
Hanna Hoskin is behind them with 80, and
Kodie Rempp is not far behind with 76. On the other side of the ball, Rempp leads the team in rebounds with 89, ranking her fourth in the UMAC, while Josephson ranks fifth in the conference with 84. Hoskin has seven blocks, placing her 12th in the UMAC.
The Eagles are 10-7 overall and 4-2 in conference play, ranking third in the UMAC. Last week, Northwestern went 1-1, falling to the University of Wisconsin-Superior 63-69 and then defeating Crown College 65-50. As a team, they are averaging 65.7 points per game, with senior Lexi Hagen leading the team at 14.3 points per game. Jasmine Sondrol and Ella Falk also average over 10 points per game, with 11.8 and 10.1, respectively.
Minnesota Morris has a record of 5-12 and is 3-3 in the UMAC. The Cougars split their games last week, winning 62-53 over Crown and losing to UW-Superior 42-64. UMM is averaging 59.9 points per game, with its leading scorer, Maddy Grove, contributing 15.4 points per game. Junior Shelby Mortenson leads the team defensively with 87 rebounds and 17 blocks.
