ASHLAND, Wis. – Kazdion Mount and Vinny Troccoli on the Northland College Baseball team were named to the College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday, June 4.
 
To be eligible for the award student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), and play in at least 90 percent of the games, start in 66 percent of the games, or pitch at least 25 innings.
 
 Troccoli caps off his senior season with the honor. During the 2024 campaign, the senior was named UMAC Pitcher of the Week and was named to the D3 Baseball Team of the Week. He ended the season leading the Jacks in homeruns (3) and strikeouts (24).
 
Mount led the team in wins and went the full distance against Maranatha Baptist. Against the Sabercats Mount threw seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and only gave up three hits. In his following start the Jay, Okla., native went six innings against the University of Wisconsin-Superior only giving up one run to help lead Northland to a 7-1 victory.
