ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced it's weekly award winners for the week of March 20-26. LumberJack Baseball swept this weeks awards as Zack Nelson was named UMAC Pitcher of the Week and Peyton Solberg was named UMAC Player of the Week

Nelson, a Senior from Burnsville, MN pitched a complete game 1 hitter against Wisconsin Lutheran in the Jacks 2-0 victory on Friday. Nelson only needed 64 pitches and was able to strike out 6 batters and had 0 walks in 7 innings of work. 

Solberg, a Sophomore from Bessemer, MI had 5 of the 6 rbi's in the Jacks two game sweep over Wisconsin Lutheran. In game two, he had 2 hits and 4 rbi's in the Jacks 4-2 come from behind win. 

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
